How is the market price estimate calculated?
The market price estimate in the savings calculator is an indicative comparison price. It is not an offer from a specific company or an official market statistic, but an estimate of a typical price level for similar kitchen furniture painting and renewal work.
Calculation formula
The market price estimate is calculated by adding together the paintable parts, possible replacement parts, hinges, and removal, transport and assembly.
What is the price level based on?
The Finnish estimates are set conservatively based on common renovation price ranges and typical per-piece prices for cabinet door painting services. For example, a turnkey project for 18 profiled doors is about 1 710 euros in the calculator, which is in line with the general 900-1 800 euro range.
The Estonian estimates are adjusted to a lower labour and transport cost level. For example, a full project for 18 profiled doors is about 1 110 euros in the calculator, which is in line with an indicative 900-1 500 euro range.
If a customer marks a profiled or framed door for replacement, the comparison price is calculated using the price of a new smooth door. This matches Scandihaven’s process: new profiled doors are not manufactured, and a replacement door will be a smooth cabinet door.

Removal, transport and assembly
The removal, transport and assembly estimate is based on the work including removing doors and parts, transporting them to the workspace, returning finished parts and installing them back in place. In Finland, the calculator’s market estimate is 400-550 euros and in Estonia 220-380 euros depending on the complexity of the work.
Why can the final price change?
The final quote depends on the condition of the doors, material, exact scope of work and whether any parts need to be replaced or repaired before painting. That is why the calculator gives an estimate, not a binding offer.
